Audio Recording Tips
1. Make sure your digital recording device is on the highest quality setting. For instance, if you're using an Olympus device, use high quality mode (HQ) or standard play (SP).
2. Wherever possible, use the original recording rather than a re-recorded audio file, as this will result in diminished sound quality.
3. For focus groups or interviews, ensure that the recorder is equidistant from all participants, including yourself.
4. When recording a focus group, be sure to use a recorder with a separate microphone.
5. If you require voice identification for a focus group, please call us before recording in order to discuss your options.
6. Avoid recording in places with any echo or background noise from people, air conditioners or other machinery.
